Best Damn Race Leftovers!

Today was the next 5k in Safety Harbor. I feel pretty good that I didn't die of heatstroke.
I love these races! My stamina isn't very good, but it's so amazing that as soon as you get through with your suffering you can't wait to do it again. Being surrounded by that energy and accomplishing something that is really difficult is good medicine. :)
But boy was it hot! I wish they would start them earlier! :)

Beautiful sunrise for the runners! :)

My friend Jarine was down at the pier. Yay!
(This is me pretending that I'm tough.)

Yay! Sharing some personal silly stuff...because I'm proud of myself. :)

My warm-up consists of pooping, and tightening and loosening my shoe laces.

p.s. Even if it's only going to be a brisk walk, you still don't sleep well the night before. :)
No starting near the front this year.

Preliminary results and I ended in the top 19% of my age group and top 24% of over 1400 runners. Yay!!! That was so much fun! I can't believe I did that well with a bum knee. I can't wait to do it again! 😊❤

Cellphone Sunrise :)

Morning quiet at the pier....I didn't know last night was a full moon....usually it's talked about on Facebook, but I guess there wasn't any room between the politics...haha.
So, we had one bright moon this morning! Tonight is the "Waning Gibbous" phase. Sounds like a funky bird to me. ;)

Trying to capture the sun, the runner, and the chillin' bird in one shot. :)
Pardon my cheesy effects, I needed to play a little.

It's Still St. Patrick's Day Here! :)

A few photos from Nolan's 5k and the chalk art festival in downtown Safety Harbor today.
We're all taking advantage of the last few days of perrrrfect weather!
I'm as interested in the process of creating the works as the finished product. :)

I don't know what this one says but I think it's cute. :)

800ish registered....proceeds going to the Florida Law Enforcement Memorial and families of the fallen.

A costume contest, music by Brendan Nolan....good stuff! :)

I know how ya feel buddy. :)
